Getting Ukulele Lessons

In life, lessons are everywhere... we learn them from our parents, our school teachers and from our experiences. Some of the most important lessons I have learned, I learned from my guitars.

The Ukulele for sale in uk music does not only consist of notes and chords. Rhythm is also needed which is created by hitting repeatedly on the strings on a regular basis. There are several rhythm patterns in ukulele such as single - hitting downwards, double - one downwards one upwards - and single and double rhythm - one measure single, one measure double rhythms.

Y: Yard fun: Go to your yard (or a park) and have some fun. Have someone hide peanuts in their shells for you to find. Play tag. Play hide and go seek. Run around the perimeter of the yard as fast as you can. Now skip around the perimeter of the house. Rake up a pile of leaves and bury yourself. Try to use all the space in the yard for fun activities.

At this stage, knowing some chord theory is useful. Learning the harmonized major scale will mean you can quickly assess whether a chord is likely to be major, minor, seventh etc.

The names of the chords we will play are dependent upon the tuning of the uke. In this Ukulele lesson we will use the common tuning in C. This means that the first string of the ukukule is tuned to A. The first string of your uke is the bottom string when you play.

The standard tuning for soprano, concert and tenor Ukulele for sale is C tuning which means the four strings will be associated with the pitch of G C E A. The 4th string is G, 3rd string is C, the 2nd string is E, the 1st string is A. That is when you strike the open string it sounds those notes. The G is tuned to the G above middle C on the piano, an octave higher than you might think. The baritone ukulele is tuned to D G B E with the sound going from low to high.

S: Silly Scarecrows: Scarecrows are pretty floppy and flexible. Try walking like a scarecrow with loose arm and leg movements. Remember how the scarecrow in the Wizard of OZ had trouble dancing? Skip, hop and dance like a very bendable scarecrow.

Now you can play a Christmas melody on your ukulele. The ukulele tab notation I have used is good for finding the notes but I recommend you to learn the melody by heart so you can Uke play it anywhere without the need to read on a piece of paper you will not find anyway!
